Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • ability to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights
  • ability to stand, walk, and serve drinks for long periods
  • ability to lift and carry kegs, boxes of supplies, and other bar-related items

Job Qualifications

  • Previous bartending experience, preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting
  • strong knowledge of alcoholic beverages, cocktails, wine, and beer
  • excellent communication and customer service skills
  • knowledge of health and safety regulations, including proper handling and storage of alcohol
  • bartender certification or training (e.g., TIPS, ServeSafe Alcohol)
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

Job Duties

  • Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner, providing prompt service and assisting with beverage orders
  • prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, including cocktails, beer, wine, and specialty drinks according to the hotel's standards
  • check identification of guests to verify they are of legal drinking age
  • maintain a clean and organized bar area, ensuring all supplies and equipment are stocked and ready for use
  • upsell and promote drink specials, signature cocktails, and other items from the menu
  • handle cash and process payments accurately using the hotel's point of sale (POS) system
  • monitor guest behavior and consumption to ensure responsible alcohol service, intervening when necessary to prevent over-consumption
