Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old to serve alcohol
  • Must have a Food Handlers Card/Serv Safe and Bar Card per Mobile County Health Department
  • Must demonstrate excellent attendance and punctuality
  • Ability to handle cash transactions accurately
  • Ability to work nights, weekends and during long hours
  • Ability to follow state and federal alcohol service regulations
  • Must maintain a clean and organized bar workstation
  • Must be able to de-escalate guest situations
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with guests and staff
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently

Job Qualifications

  • Six months or more experience bartending
  • Updated Food Handlers Card/Serv Safe and Bar Card per Mobile County Health Department
  • Accurate cash handling skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to be self-directed while working in a team-oriented environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and long hours
  • Bartending school preferred

Job Duties

  • Demonstrate ability to meet company standards for guest service, interaction with co-workers and uniform standards
  • Follow bar pre-shift notes and bar menus to provide service
  • Serve alcoholic beverages following proper procedures and state/federal regulations
  • Learn and have knowledge of various beer, wine varieties and spirits and suggestively upsell products to guests
  • Pour drinks responsibly according to company serving size standards
  • Check guest's ID to verify minimum age requirement
  • Communicate cut-offs to guests as required
  • Listen and respond to customer requests or concerns
  • De-escalate intoxicated guest situations and contact management or security as required
  • Contact management if unable to resolve a situation
  • Request additional product or restock as required
  • Handle cash accurately and manage issued bank at the bar
  • Maintain clean and sanitary workstation and ensure bar equipment is clean and well maintained
  • Perform set-up and breakdown of bar equipment and assist with organization of the cooler
  • Other duties as assigned
