Job Requirements

  • Six months or more experience bartending
  • Updated Food Handlers Card/Serv Safe and Bar Card per Mobile County Health Department
  • Accurate cash handling skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to be self-directed while working in a team-oriented environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and long hours
  • Bartending school preferred

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum six months bartending experience
  • Updated Food Handlers Card/Serv Safe and Bar Card as required by Mobile County Health Department
  • Accurate cash handling skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-directed yet able to work within a team
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Availability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and long hours
  • Bartending school preferred

Job Duties

  • Meet the company standard for guest service, interaction with co-workers and uniform standards
  • Follow bar pre-shift notes and bar menus to provide accurate service
  • Serve alcoholic beverages in compliance with state and federal regulations
  • Learn and suggestively upsell beer, wine, and spirits to guests
  • Pour drinks responsibly following company serving size standards
  • Check guests’ IDs according to legal age requirements
  • Communicate cut-offs to guests as required
  • Listen and respond to customer requests and concerns
  • De-escalate intoxicated guest situations and contact management or security if needed
  • Request management assistance for decisions beyond standard scope
  • Restock bar products as needed
  • Handle cash transactions accurately and manage issued bank
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation
  • Set up and break down bar equipment
  • Assist with cooler organization
