Job Requirements

  • TABC certification
  • Food handler certification
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and long hours
  • Excellent attendance and punctuality
  • Ability to handle cash accurately
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to de-escalate difficult situations
  • Knowledge of state and federal alcohol regulations
  • Prior experience bartending

Job Qualifications

  • Six months or more experience bartending
  • Accurate cash handling skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to be self-directed while working in a team-oriented environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and long hours
  • Bartending school preferred

Job Duties

  • Demonstrate ability to meet company standards for guest service, interaction with co-workers, and uniform standards
  • Follow bar pre-shift notes and menus and provide service as described
  • Serve alcoholic beverages following all proper procedures and regulations
  • Learn and suggestively upsell various beer, wine, and spirit products to guests
  • Pour drinks responsibly according to company serving size standards
  • Check guest IDs to verify minimum age requirement
  • Communicate cut-offs to guests as required
  • Listen and respond to customer requests or concerns
  • De-escalate intoxicated guest situations and contact management or security if necessary
  • Request additional product or restock supplies as required
  • Handle cash accurately and maintain issued bank
  • Maintain clean and sanitary work station and bar equipment
  • Set up and break down bar equipment
  • Ensure compliance with TABC and food handler certifications
