Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- six months or more bartending experience
- ability to handle cash transactions accurately
- knowledge of alcohol beverage laws and regulations
- excellent customer service skills
- ability to work nights weekends and long hours
- capable of de-escalating difficult guest situations
- must be personable and professional
- strong communication skills
- able to work in a fast-paced environment
- willing to work flexible schedules
- able to maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area
Job Qualifications
- six months or more experience bartending
- accurate cash handling skills
- ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- ability to be self-directed while working in a team-oriented environment
- excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- ability to work a flexible schedule including nights weekends and long hours
- bartending school preferred
Job Duties
- must demonstrate ability to meet the company standard for excellent guest service interaction with co-workers and uniform standards
- follow the bar pre-shift notes and bar menus and provide service as described
- serve alcoholic beverages following all proper procedures including state and federal regulations pertaining to alcohol distribution
- be knowledgeable of various beer wine varieties and spirits and suggestively upsell products to guests
- pour drinks responsibly in accordance with company standards for serving size
- check guest’s ID to verify minimum age requirement for alcohol purchase
- communicate a cut-off to guests as required
- listen and respond to any customer requests or concerns
- de-escalate situations involving intoxicated guests and contact management or security if needed
- request additional product or restock as required
- handle cash accurately and manage issued bank at bar
- maintain clean and sanitary work station ensuring bar equipment is clean and well maintained
- set-up and breakdown of bar equipment and assist with organization of the cooler as required
