Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • six months or more bartending experience
  • ability to handle cash accurately
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • ability to work flexible hours including nights weekends and holidays
  • knowledge of state and federal regulations for alcohol service
  • ability to maintain cleanliness and organization at the bar
  • excellent interpersonal skills
  • ability to de-escalate difficult guest situations
  • physical ability to stand for long periods

Job Qualifications

  • six months or more experience bartending
  • accurate cash handling skills
  • ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • ability to be self-directed while working in a team-oriented environment
  • excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • ability to work a flexible schedule including nights weekends and long hours
  • bartending school preferred

Job Duties

  • meet the company standard for excellent guest service interaction with co-workers and uniform standards
  • follow the bar pre-shift notes and bar menus and provide service as described
  • serve alcoholic beverages following all proper procedures including state and federal regulations
  • learn or have knowledge of various beer wine varieties and spirits and suggestively upsell products to guests
  • pour drinks responsibly in accordance with company standards for serving size
  • check guest's ID in accordance with state and federal regulations to verify minimum age requirement
  • communicate a cut-off to a guest as required
  • listen and respond to any customer requests or concerns
  • de-escalate intoxicated guest situations and contact management or security if necessary
  • contact a management member if unable to resolve a situation
  • request additional product or restock product as required
  • handle cash accurately and be responsible for issued bank at the bar
  • maintain clean and sanitary work station and ensure bar equipment is clean and well maintained
  • set up and breakdown of bar equipment and assist with organization of the cooler
  • perform other duties as assigned
