Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • six months or more bartending experience
  • knowledge of state and federal alcohol regulations
  • ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to handle cash accurately
  • willingness to work in a fast-paced environment
  • must be personable and professional

Job Duties

  • demonstrate ability to meet company standards for excellent guest service, interaction with co-workers, and uniform standards
  • follow bar pre-shift notes and bar menus and provide service as described
  • serve alcoholic beverages following proper procedures and state/federal regulations
  • learn and suggestively upsell various beer, wine varieties, and spirits to guests
  • pour drinks responsibly according to company standards for serving size
  • check guest’s ID to verify minimum age for alcohol purchase
  • communicate cut-off to guests as required
  • listen and respond to customer requests or concerns
  • de-escalate intoxicated guest situations
  • contact management or security if a guest is confrontational, belligerent, or uses extreme profanity
  • request additional or restock product as required
  • handle cash accurately and manage issued bank at the bar
  • maintain a clean and sanitary work station
  • ensure bar equipment is clean and well maintained
  • set-up and breakdown bar equipment and assist with organization of the cooler as assigned
