Job Requirements

high school diploma or equivalent
six months or more bartending experience
knowledge of state and federal alcohol laws and regulations
ability to handle cash accurately
excellent attendance and punctuality
ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
effective communication skills
ability to manage difficult situations calmly
availability to work event schedules as required

bartending school preferred

Job Duties

demonstrate ability to meet company standards for guest service interaction with co-workers and uniform standards
follow bar pre-shift notes and menus and provide service accordingly
serve alcoholic beverages following proper procedures and state/federal alcohol regulations
learn and suggestively upsell beer wine and spirits products
pour drinks responsibly per company serving size standards
check guests' IDs to verify legal age for alcohol purchase
communicate service cut-offs to guests as required
listen and respond to customer requests or concerns
de-escalate intoxicated guest situations and contact management or security if needed
contact management when decisions exceed standard scope
request and restock products as necessary
handle cash accurately and manage issued bank
maintain clean and sanitary work station ensuring bar equipment is clean and well maintained
perform set-up and breakdown of bar equipment and assist in cooler organization
other duties as assigned
