Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Six months or more bartending experience
  • Knowledge of alcohol laws and regulations
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to handle cash accurately
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
  • Must be able to stand and work for long periods

Job Duties

  • Demonstrate ability to meet company standards for guest service, interaction with co-workers and uniform standards
  • Follow bar pre-shift notes and menus and provide service as described
  • Serve alcoholic beverages following all proper procedures including state and federal regulations
  • Learn or have knowledge of various beers, wine varieties and spirits and suggestively upsell products to guests
  • Pour drinks responsibly according to company serving size standards
  • Check guest's ID to verify minimum age requirement
  • Communicate a cut-off to guests as necessary
  • Listen and respond to customer requests or concerns
  • De-escalate intoxicated guest situations and contact management or security if needed
  • Request additional product or restock as required
  • Handle cash accurately and be responsible for bar cash bank
  • Maintain clean and sanitary work station and ensure bar equipment is clean and well maintained
  • Perform other duties such as set-up and breakdown of bar equipment and cooler organization
