Job Description

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Six months of bartending experience
  • Ability to handle cash accurately
  • Knowledge of state and federal alcohol regulations
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to maintain a professional demeanor in a fast-paced environment
  • Availability to work events as scheduled

Job Qualifications

  • Six months or more experience bartending
  • Accurate cash handling skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to be self-directed while working in a team-oriented environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights weekends and long hours
  • Bartending school preferred

Job Duties

  • Demonstrate ability to meet company standards for excellent guest service interaction with co-workers and uniform standards
  • Follow bar pre-shift notes and bar menus to provide service as described
  • Serve alcoholic beverages following all proper procedures including state and federal regulations
  • Learn and have knowledge of various beer wine varieties and spirits and suggestively upsell products to guests
  • Pour drinks responsibly in accordance with company serving size standards
  • Check guest's ID to verify minimum age requirement for alcoholic beverages
  • Communicate cut-off to guest as required
  • Listen and respond to customer requests or concerns
  • De-escalate intoxicated guest situations and contact management or security if required
  • Contact management if unable to resolve issues beyond scope of decision-making
  • Request additional product or restock product as required
  • Handle cash accurately and be responsible for the cash bank at the bar
  • Maintain clean and sanitary workstation at all times
  • Ensure bar equipment is clean and well maintained
  • Perform other duties such as setup and breakdown of bar equipment and assisting with cooler organization
