Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- must be 18 or over
- 2 years or more experience bartending
- previous cash handling experience preferred
- ability to learn to operate a cash register and corresponding system accurately
- possess valid food handling certificate and RAMP certification if required by state and federal regulations or be willing to obtain one within a 60 day time-frame from date of hire
- ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, some holidays and long hours
- ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment

Job Duties
- Greet guests in a friendly professional manner
- provide education about the companys style of service, the food and beverage menus, how menu items are prepared, the ingredients used, and the different cooking methods
- smile and maintain a positive attitude at all times
- follow all service standards including upselling and suggestive selling
- inform guests of daily drink and food specials
- prepare garnishes for alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
- wash and sterilize glassware
- receive and serve food orders to guests seated at the bar
- check identification to ensure that guests meet minimum age requirements for consumption of alcoholic beverages
- refuse or cut off service to patrons who appear to be intoxicated
- receive guest payments and process transactions
- respond appropriately to guest complaints and bring any issues to the attention of a manager
- perform marketing and other promotional services as needed
- maintain cleanliness in all areas of the bar including counters, sinks, utensils, shelves and storage areas
- report all equipment problems and bar maintenance issues to the General Manager
- assist with restocking and replenishment of bar inventory and supplies
- thank guests for their visit, inform them of upcoming events and invite them to return
- understand the importance of speed of service and act with sense of urgency when performing job tasks
- attend all scheduled employee meetings
- empty trash cans
- additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed by management
