Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a bar or beverage service role preferred
  • Ability to handle cash transactions accurately
  • Knowledge of state and federal laws on alcohol service
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods
  • Compliance with company attendance policy
  • Willingness to work cooperatively with team members

  • Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service of alcoholic beverages

  • Ability to remember and promote menu items
  • Ability to operate a keyboard and point of sale procedures
  • Ability to stand and work in confined spaces for long periods
  • Ability to establish effective working relationships with associates and customers

Job Duties

  • Maintain proper and adequate set-up of the bar daily including requisitioning and stocking beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws and stirrers, condiments and produce
  • Maintain stock, cut and store all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices and other perishables daily
  • Greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner, promote and document orders for drinks
  • Mix, garnish and present drinks using standard ingredient recipes and practicing prudent portion control
  • Abide by all state, federal and corporate requirements pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages and ensure proper liquor controls
  • Input orders into a register at point of sale and create checks for each guest to maintain accountability
  • Receive cash from guests, make change, verify charges, record charges and ensure vouchers are properly executed
  • Lock up and store all beverage, food and equipment items and secure cash deposits
  • Comply with attendance rules and perform other job-related duties as assigned
