Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 21 years of age
  • A high school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Must possess and maintain a current California Food Handlers Certificate
  • Must possess and maintain a current ABC-approved California Responsible Beverage Server Training Certificate
  • Previous bartending experience required
  • Basic math skills necessary
  • Ability to accurately handle cash and operate a POS terminal/device
  • Willingness to serve and entertain guests according to the perceived atmosphere and expectation
  • Ability to maintain a neat and well-groomed appearance
  • Availability to work varied schedules including evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours
  • Ability to work under pressure and remain calm
  • Must have sound judgment and solid leadership skills and experience
  • Must have strong knowledge of restaurant operations and service procedures
  • Ability to communicate and understand predominant language(s) of guests
  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Punctuality and reliable attendance
  • Honesty and integrity

Job Qualifications

  • Be at least 21 years of age
  • Have previous bartending experience with working knowledge of beer, wine, and liquor and common drink recipes
  • Possess basic math skills and ability to operate a POS terminal/device
  • Demonstrate an outgoing friendly personality with strong communication skills
  • Maintain a neat and professional appearance
  • Ability to work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team
  • Ability to work a varied schedule including evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended business hours
  • Ability to work under pressure and solve problems using good judgment
  • Show solid leadership skills and experience
  • Strong knowledge of restaurant operations, service procedures, and functions
  • Ability to communicate and understand the predominant language(s) of our guests

Job Duties

  • Greet every guest warmly with an appropriate greeting as they enter
  • Present drink menus, make recommendations, and answer questions regarding beverages
  • Provide timely, accurate, and friendly service while preparing the highest quality beverages for our guests
  • Mix drinks, cocktails, and other bar beverages as ordered and consistent with the company’s standard drink recipes
  • Upsell drink specials and food items as directed by management
  • Check identification of guests to verify age requirements for the purchase of an alcoholic beverage
  • Handle the house bank and follow all cash handling procedures
  • Record drink orders accurately and immediately after receipt into the POS system
  • Collect payments from guests, process credit card charges, and accurately make changes as needed
  • Maintain bottles and glasses in an attractive and functional manner
  • Maintain high standards for safety and cleanliness in all areas of the bar
  • Wash, sterilize, and polish glasses and dishes as directed
  • Communicate any areas of need, problems, and concerns from a guest to management
  • Complete all side work duties including restocking and replenishment of bar inventory and supplies
  • Maintain strict compliance with state liquor regulations
  • Keep equipment in order and report maintenance issues
  • Drive company golf carts and other vehicles as needed
  • Practice safe working habits and take required breaks and meal periods
  • Accurately and promptly report 100% of cash and credit card tips to management for payroll and tax purposes
