Job Requirements

  • Minimum two years of bartender experience or equivalent Tao Group Hospitality experience
  • minimum two years of food and beverage experience
  • experience in a high-volume restaurant, nightclub, or lounge
  • ability to write, read, and verbally communicate effectively
  • must have positive energy throughout the workday
  • ability to print legibly for team members, management, and guests
  • ability to stand for extended periods
  • ability to move quickly
  • ability to push and lift up to 75 lbs with or without assistance
  • willingness to work extended hours including irregular shifts, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • ability to work in environments with noise, crowds, and smoke
  • maintenance of professional, neat, and well-groomed appearance adhering to company standards
  • ability to handle a fast-paced and somewhat stressful environment
  • ability to maintain confidentiality
  • ability to work effectively as part of a team and interact professionally with customers, managers, and co-workers

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Anticipate and accommodate the needs of the guests
  • provide professional and exceptional service
  • present menus, answer questions, and make suggestions for all food and beverage items
  • inform guests of all food and beverage specials with prices
  • solicit any allergy or dietary restrictions from each guest
  • accurately enter all orders into the POS system and follow proper cash/payment card procedures
  • ensure the delivery of all food and beverage to the guests at the bar and lounge
  • maintain general cleanliness of bar, bar area, and entire venue
  • organize liquor displays and shelving and maintain par levels
  • follow supervisor's instructions and support co-workers
  • possess in-depth knowledge of all food and beverage menus and the company
  • serve all alcoholic beverages in accordance with state regulations and alcohol awareness training
  • comply with Department of Health and company sanitation standards
  • accurately complete all end-of-shift financial procedures
  • communicate guests' needs to Front-of-House and Heart-of-House support staff, managers, and chefs
  • properly set up bar stations, perform opening and closing procedures
  • report breakage and damage immediately to management
  • attend daily pre-service meetings and training sessions
  • demonstrate positive and professional attitude
  • work as part of a team and provide support to fellow team members
  • assist or complete additional tasks as assigned
