Job Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED certification or equivalent
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • One year of bartending experience in another venue with similar volume
  • Must pass a stringent background investigation
  • Must successfully complete pre-employment and random drug screenings
  • Must obtain and maintain a New Mexico Alcohol Server's License prior to hire
  • Ability to lift at least 150 pounds
  • Availability to work flexible hours including days, nights, weekends, holidays, split shifts, and overtime
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including balancing, climbing, crouching, reaching, and walking
  • Ability to maintain punctual and regular attendance

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED certification or equivalent
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • One year of bartending experience in a similar volume venue
  • Preferred two years bartending experience in a venue with a full liquor license
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to count money and make change correctly
  • Excellent beverage knowledge including ingredients, mixing, and pouring techniques
  • Knowledge of liquor, beer, and wines
  • Experience with Point-Of-Sale programs
  • Detail oriented with strong customer service focus
  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions
  • Ability to maintain a safe work environment
  • Knowledge of basic sanitation standards
  • Ability to work harmoniously with diverse team members

Job Duties

  • Provide exceptional service to guests by taking orders, making recommendations, and ensuring a positive experience
  • Craft and serve a wide range of beverages including cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic drinks
  • Serve food items as required and prepare drinks with proper pouring portions and ingredients according to recipe
  • Set up the bar area at beginning of shift including stocking products and changing kegs, and break down at closing including cleaning and organizing
  • Check equipment such as ice machine, refrigerator, glass washers, and draft system, reporting problems to supervisory team
  • Maintain a clean bar and stocked workstation following health and safety guidelines
  • Operate POS system, handling transactions accurately and maintaining financial controls
  • Adhere to alcohol service laws and regulations including age verification and refusing service to intoxicated guests
  • Handle challenging situations with tact and notify supervisors when necessary
  • Assist in training new team members
  • Ensure glassware is clean and undamaged
  • Complete daily sales and cash reconciliation
  • Document incidents and ensure temperature logs are completed as required
  • Represent the department positively through professional conduct and appearance
  • Tender and present checks accurately to guests
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned
