Job Requirements

  • minimum of 21 years of age
  • a high school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • must possess and maintain a current California Food Handlers Certificate
  • must possess and maintain a current ABC-approved California Responsible Beverage Server Training Certificate
  • previous bartending experience with working knowledge of beer, wine, and liquor and common drink recipes
  • possess basic math skills and have the ability to accurately handle cash and operate a point-of-sale terminal or device
  • possess an outgoing friendly personality, positive attitude, and strong communication skills
  • be willing to serve and entertain guests according to the perceived atmosphere and expectation of guests
  • maintain a neat and well-groomed appearance and be well-spoken and professional
  • ability to work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team
  • must be available to work a varied schedule to include evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours of business
  • able to work under pressure and remain calm to resolve problems using good judgment
  • sound judgment and solid leadership skills and experience
  • strong knowledge of restaurant operations, service procedures, and functions
  • be able to communicate and understand the predominant language(s) of our guests
  • be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time

Job Duties

  • Greet every guest warmly with an appropriate greeting as they enter
  • present drink menus, make recommendations, and answer questions regarding beverages
  • provide timely, accurate, and friendly service while preparing the highest quality beverages for our guests
  • mix drinks, cocktails, and other bar beverages as ordered and consistent with the company\'s standard drink recipes
  • upsell drink specials and food items as directed by management
  • check identification of guests to verify age requirements for the purchase of an alcoholic beverage
  • handle the house bank and follow all cash handling procedures
