Job Duties

  • Provide engaging and informative instruction in bartending, based on agreed upon curriculum and instruct in a manner consistent with the philosophy, policies, and guidelines of the College
  • Create lesson plan, educational materials, and hands-on activities aligned with student learning objectives
  • Ensure student competency in bartending techniques, glassware, bar tools, opening and closing duties, terminology, garnishes, beer service, wine service, liquor cocktails, safety and sanitation, planning, purchasing, and inventory principles associated with commercial bartending
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized kitchen/classroom environment, ensuring adherence to food safety regulations
  • Work individually as an advisor for students who may need extra help, who have questions about the course, or who want career guidance
  • Collaborate with department staff to support curriculum development and student learning outcomes
