Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One to three years experience in a high-volume bar setting
  • Safe Server Alcohol & Food Handlers certification
  • California Responsible Beverage Service Certification
  • Ability to stand for up to four hours
  • Ability to lift up to 45 lbs
  • Ability to push and pull carts up to 250 lbs
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Must maintain neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance
  • Compliance with Hilton and Azul Hospitality policies and procedures
  • Regular attendance and punctuality
  • Ability to work flexible schedules to meet business needs

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One to three years of high volume bar experience
  • Safe Server Alcohol & Food Handlers certification
  • California Responsible Beverage Service Certification
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of spirits, beer, wine, and flavor profiles
  • Basic computer skills including Windows OS, MS Office, PMS, and POS
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong leadership and customer relations skills

Job Duties

  • Prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for guests and servers for table delivery
  • Take beverage and food orders at the bar
  • Describe menu items and suggest products to customers
  • Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
  • Provide opening and closing inventory of spirits
  • Ensure all liquor, beer and wine product is put away safely and always secured
  • Assist with recipe batching, ice molding, liquor infusions, washing and preparing garnishes
  • Ensure that taps, coolers, and appliances like blenders or coffee makers are clean and in working order
  • Verify customers identification and confirm legal drinking age
  • Ensure minors and intoxicated persons are not served alcoholic beverages
  • Act as a cashier when necessary
  • Maintain cleanliness of bar area including disposing of waste and cleaning glassware
  • Assist servers, other bartenders, and barbacks when necessary
  • Participate in deep cleaning of the outlet
  • Operate cash register and process payments
  • Assist guests professionally and courteously with high-quality customer service
  • Perform other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor
