Job Requirements

Completion of an accredited bartending course or equivalent experience
must be 21 years of age or older
must obtain and maintain appropriate licenses and certifications required by Federal, State, and Gaming regulations
must pass background check
must pass drug screening
strong communication skills
ability to work flexible schedules
capacity to handle cash accurately
ability to work in noisy, crowded environments
physical stamina to perform duties

Job Qualifications

Completion of an accredited bartending course or two years’ outside experience in high volume cocktail service preferably in a hotel or casino environment
ability to obtain and maintain all licenses and certifications per Federal, State, and Gaming/Lottery regulations
successful passing of background check
successful passing of drug screening
minimum age of 21 years
effective communication skills with customers and employees at all levels
ability to distinguish between different denominations of currency and make change
ability to review and comprehend drink recipes and other necessary documentation
proficiency in pouring cocktails and using all equipment associated with the position including cash register and bar equipment
capability to efficiently and effectively move around the bar area
flexibility to work varying shifts and time schedules
ability to operate in a noisy and crowded environment
ability to direct cocktail servers

Job Duties

Create an atmosphere that induces guests to make Hard Rock Casino Cincinnati their choice for gaming entertainment
provide superior customer service and positively affect interactions with guests and team members
maintain company funds and equipment in an orderly manner
pour drinks according to established recipes and maintain a clean and safe work environment
ensure compliance with underage serving policies
demonstrate specific product offerings and ordering procedures
monitor proper par levels of all supplies at assigned bars
communicate any problems or situations detrimental to Hard Rock to immediate supervisor
be responsible for the security and accuracy of assigned bank and accountable for any and all overages and shortages
open and close bar according to established procedures
provide work direction for bar attendants assigned to bar
assist with other duties at special events or parties including carving, cooking, setup and teardown stations or work areas
attend and participate in meetings, completing follow-up as assigned
perform work regularly and predictably
other duties as assigned
