  • valid tabc and food handler certifications
  • minimum one year experience as barback and food runner

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or g.e.d. equivalent
  • at least one year related work experience
  • valid TABC certification
  • valid Food Handler certification
  • strong guest-service skills
  • ability to work in fast-paced environment

  • no supervisory experience required

Job Duties

  • prepare drink orders according to recipes
  • issue, open, and serve wine and champagne bottles
  • set up and maintain cleanliness of bar, bar unit, tables, and tools
  • prepare fresh garnishes for drinks
  • stock ice, glassware, and paper supplies
  • transport supplies to bar set-up area
  • wash soiled glassware
  • remove soiled wares from bar and tables
  • anticipate and communicate replenishment needs
  • process payment methods
  • count bank at end of shift and resolve discrepancies
  • secure liquors, beers, wines, coolers, cabinets, and storage areas
  • complete closing duties
  • follow company safety and security policies
  • report accidents and unsafe work conditions
  • complete safety training
  • maintain professional appearance
  • welcome and acknowledge guests
  • speak clearly and professionally
  • develop positive working relationships
  • support team goals
  • listen and respond to concerns
  • ensure adherence to quality standards
  • read and verify information in various formats
  • stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
