Job Requirements

  • Basic math skills
  • Must be able to add, subtract, and count change back to customer
  • Legible handwriting
  • Strong customer service and oral communication skills
  • Must hold a valid Operator's License
  • Must be of legal age to serve alcohol
  • U.S. work authorization

  • Wine experience and/or certification preferred
  • One year bartending experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Take customers' food and drink orders
  • Ensure that all orders are accurate and delivered to each table in a timely manner
  • Suggest appetizers and meals to customers based on the menu and specials
  • Make and serve drinks following established guidelines, procedures and policies regarding beverage and safety controls as prescribed by company standards
  • Properly set up bar, including stocking and batching
  • Follow health and safety practices always
  • Control allocated guest checks by following established check-use procedures and legibly documenting all required information as the customer's order is taken and processed
  • Process payments from guests and ensures accuracy of guest check and method of payment in order to safeguard customer and company
  • Complete all prep work prior to bar start time
  • Serve food and/or beverage
  • ensuring consistency throughout meal
  • Comply with all state and local liquor regulations
  • Respond promptly to any guest request
  • Maintain a professional appearance, positive attitude, and mannerism
  • Maintain clear and open communication between all staff for overall outstanding dining experience
  • During service, maintain all work areas including any side work duties for overall productivity and success
  • Once service is complete, all dining areas must be re-set
  • Create a pleasurable dining experience for all guests
  • Have fun at work
