Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in a bartending or serving role preferred
- Must be of legal age to serve alcohol
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Must comply with all state and local alcohol service laws
- Maintain all required certifications
- Pass background check and drug screening
Job Qualifications
- Previous bartending or serving experience preferred
- Knowledge of bar and beverage service
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Basic math skills for handling transactions
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization
- Knowledge of food safety and alcohol service regulations
- Certification in responsible alcohol service is a plus
Job Duties
- Serve guests utilizing Spare Time Entertainment's Steps of Service
- Demonstrate knowledge of all menus with the ability to make suggestions
- Promote knowledge of the location's features and upcoming events
- Mix, garnish, and serve alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks for patrons of the bar and dining room following standard recipes and company guidelines
- Observe and assist in preparing unoccupied tables for guests by wiping surface tops, removing debris, and ensuring seats are clean and orderly
- Bus tables in the restaurant area and return used dishes to the dishwashing area
- Help with food preparation when necessary
- Adhere to all food safety and quality regulations
- Assist with waste control
- Patrol assigned sections to respond to guest's needs and address concerns
- Review guest identification and monitor alcohol consumption in adherence to company and legal policies
- Operate the POS system confidently, making accurate transactions and handling payments
- Provide all required complimentary shift paperwork with settlement in a consistent and organized manner
- Complete shift opening and closing duties
- Maintain clean equipment and working areas according to health department codes
- Keep products and areas organized and restocked as needed
- Maintain current certifications required by state and company
