Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • previous bartending experience
  • strong written and verbal communication
  • knowledge of liquor laws and responsible alcohol service
  • ability to work full time with variable schedule
  • ability to handle cash transactions
  • ability to stand and work for extended periods
  • must be at least 21 years of age
  • able to maintain cleanliness and organization in work area

  • solid understanding of wine varietals, craft beers, and a wide range of spirits
  • strong written and verbal communication skills
  • ability to adhere to liquor laws and regulations
  • friendly and courteous customer service skills
  • ability to handle cash transactions accurately

  • ability to work flexible hours including evenings

Job Duties

  • adhere to state, federal and corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests
  • set up assigned bars
  • requisition and stock all beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws and stirrers, condiments, glassware, ice and produce
  • maintain stock, prepare, cure and store all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices and other perishables to ensure product quality
  • greet guests in a courteous, friendly manner
  • take and/or process orders for drinks
  • mix, garnish and present drinks using standard ingredient recipes
  • practice prudent portion control
  • check guests at the bar for proper identification
  • detect and act upon guest inebriation as trained
  • demonstrate knowledge of liquor laws
  • receive cash from guests, make change, verify validity of charges, record charges and ensure vouchers are properly executed
  • lock up and store all beverage product, food, equipment items, deposits and cash drops
  • secure bank
  • perform general cleaning tasks to adhere to health and safety standards
  • keep work area clean and organized
  • arrange bottles and glasses to maintain an attractive display in the bar area
  • wash and sterilize stemware
  • perform other duties as assigned
