Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older to serve alcohol in Florida
- hold a current Food Handler Card or be willing to obtain one
- basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service of various alcoholic beverages
- basic mathematical skills necessary to operate cash register, make change, total guest checks, count bank, prepare cash drops, and understand portion sizes
- basic English writing skills
- sufficient manual dexterity to use a knife for garnish, pick up glassware and bottles, scoop ice, mix drinks
- basic knowledge of English to understand customer inquiries and communicate instructions
- ability to comprehend and apply written product labeling instructions
- ability to remember, recite, and promote menu items
- ability to operate beverage equipment
- must be available to work weekends and holidays as required
Job Qualifications
- Knowledge of all state, federal, and corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests
- must be at least 18 years of age or older to serve alcohol in Florida

- ability to operate beverage equipment such as coffee maker
Job Duties
- Greets guests in a courteous and friendly manner
- promotes and documents orders for drinks
- mixes garnishes and presents drinks using standard ingredient recipes and practicing prudent portion control
- maintains proper and adequate set-up of the bar daily including requisitioning and stocking all supplies
- maintains stock, cuts and stores fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices, and other perishables daily
- receives cash from guests, makes change, verifies charges, records charges, ensures proper voucher execution to balance money
- locks up and stores beverages, food, and equipment items, deposits cash drops and secures bank
- answers bar phone promptly and courteously takes patrons' orders, inputs orders into register, creates checks
- performs general cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaning products
- adheres to all company policies and procedures
- follows safety and security procedures
- knows department fire prevention and emergency procedures
- utilizes protective equipment
- reports unsafe conditions and incidents to supervisor
- provides a safe work environment by following all safety rules
- maintains a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance
- performs any related duties as requested by supervisor or manager
- assists other beverage personnel when needed
