Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • previous bar experience preferred
  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • must successfully complete ServSafe Alcohol training certification course
  • able to read, write legibly, understand and speak English
  • excellent customer service and communication skills
  • able to count money and change correctly
  • knowledge of cocktail ingredients and proper mixing and pouring techniques
  • available to work required schedule including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime
  • must meet professional appearance standards
  • physically mobile with reasonable accommodations
  • able to respond to visual and oral cues
  • able to work in constricted areas
  • able to tolerate second-hand smoke, noise, and bright lights
  • able to work at a fast pace in crowded and noisy environments
  • physically able to push, pull, carry, and lift up to 25 lbs and perform physical activities required

Job Duties

  • Monitor guest consumption of alcohol and intervene as needed according to guidelines
  • serve as ambassador of goodwill while working and at customer and public relations functions
  • promote casino events and programs
  • provide personalized service and use guest names
  • resolve service problems according to guidelines
  • provide fast, friendly, professional beverage service to casino guests and beverage servers
  • prepare and pour drink orders with proper portions and ingredients according to recipe
  • slice and pit fruit as required
  • operate and maintain all equipment and utensils according to safety procedures
  • operate cash register/POS system and handle financial transactions accurately
  • work well with beverage servers, bartenders, barbacks, beverage supervisor, and slots supervisor
  • maintain a clean and stocked workstation in accordance with health and safety guidelines
