Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1-2 years food and beverage experience preferred
- Certification in alcohol awareness program
- Minimum age of 21 years
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy items
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Effective communication skills
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
Job Qualifications
- High school graduate or GED or work equivalent
- Computer skills required
- familiarity with Microsoft Office preferred
- Experience with point of sale (POS) systems preferred
- Minimum of 1-2 years experience in food and beverage preferred
- Previous cash handling experience preferred
- Training in liquor, wine and food service
- Certification in an alcohol awareness program
- Guest/customer relations training preferred
- Minimum age of 21 to serve alcoholic beverages
- Prefer 2 years experience as a bartender or barback
- Knowledge of drink recipes and beverage service standards
- Good understanding of English language
- Good communication skills both written and verbal
- Ability to exert physical effort lifting up to 50 pounds and pushing/pulling carts up to 150 pounds
- Ability to stand and move for up to 8 hours
- Ability to work varied schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
Job Duties
- Prepare alcoholic drinks for guests following hotel standards
- Check identification of all customers to ensure legal drinking age compliance
- Take drink orders, serve drinks, and collect payment for drinks
- Upsell food and beverage items by making informed suggestions
- Maintain a high standard of sanitation and cleanliness in the work area
- Resolve guest challenges ensuring guest satisfaction
- Assist with inventories and complete opening, closing and side duties as assigned
