Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED unless waived by HR management
  • minimum two years experience in food and beverage or hospitality industry
  • minimum one year bartending work unless waived by hiring manager
  • must obtain ABC certificate of safe alcohol server training
  • ability to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screen
  • ability to pass background check
  • ability to obtain and maintain gaming license
  • excellent interpersonal communication skills

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Promotes positive customer relations
  • greets customers and creates a friendly atmosphere
  • promotes and documents orders for drinks
  • recites selection of all call and premium brands from memory
  • takes orders from customers promptly and friendly
  • inspects menus and special cards daily to ensure they are presented to guests
  • prepares all food and beverage items using prep sheets and standard ingredient recipes
  • prepares and serves cocktails and other beverages accurately and without waste according to customer specifications and ABC requirements
  • inputs orders at the point of sale
  • creates checks for each customer, party, or server
  • maintains accountability of all beverages served
  • prepares and displays all food and merchandise in accordance with ServeSafe and regulatory standards
  • presents accurate checks to guests timely
  • thanks patrons and invites them to return
  • cleans up after customers at the bar and maintains an orderly and clean work area
  • maintains proper and adequate bar setup
  • washes glassware and utensils after use
  • serves food to customers seated at the bar
  • checks identification and legitimacy of customers for legal alcohol purchase
  • provides safe and responsible alcohol service by monitoring customer alcohol consumption
  • ensures display cases and refrigerators are clean and stocked
  • maintains an organized work area for guest interaction and safety
  • maintains inventory and prepares food based on business volumes using par levels
  • responds professionally to customer questions and concerns
  • safeguards casino monies by balancing house bank at shift start and end
  • arranges bottles and glasses for attractive displays
  • maintains knowledge and answers guest questions about food venues, beverage service, and casino information
  • attends and participates in staff meetings
  • follows guidelines regarding alcohol service, safety, and customer service per policies
  • contributes to team effort and accomplishes related results
  • performs other duties as required
