Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Prior bartending experience preferred
  • Must be 21 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages
  • Must be service oriented with excellent customer service and sales skills
  • Able to communicate effectively in English
  • Energetic and outgoing personality
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Able to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment
  • Must be able to follow directions accurately
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office and POS systems
  • Must comply with state liquor laws
  • ServSafe and ABC online training required
  • Willingness to travel as needed
  • Available to work Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm with occasional weekends or holidays

Job Qualifications

  • 1+ previous bartending experience in hospitality or fast paced environment preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of computer software including Microsoft Office, outlook and or micros station
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • college degree preferred
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of all property safety and security procedures as required maintaining a secure and safe environment for employees as well as guests
  • Report any unusual occurrences and or request to Supervisor
  • Read and abide by all the regulations and rules of conduct stated in the Associate Handbook
  • Must be service oriented with excellent customer service and sales skills
  • Must be able to effectively communicate to guests, management, and coworkers and read, write and understand the English language
  • Must be energetic and outgoing
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Must be able to follow directions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy

Job Duties

  • Make and serve drinks to guests and cocktail servers following established guidelines, procedures and policies regarding beverage and safety controls as prescribed by OLS Hotels and Resorts standards
  • Perform all guest contact activities in a cordial, efficient and professional manner
  • maintaining a commitment to guest satisfaction
  • Ring guest checks, collect cash and process credits and room charges in the exact manner outlined by OLS Hotels and Resorts policies and procedures
  • Complete liquor requisitions and supply lists
  • Know and comply with state liquor laws
  • Ensure established pars are maintained
  • Perform all side work duties according to side work schedules
  • Attend to bar and tables, take orders and deliver in a timely manner
  • Bus tables and set in a timely manner
  • Perform opening and closing side work according to standards to ensure that guests are served promptly and efficiently
  • Prepare beverages and cocktails according to the standards, for mixing, portion control and presentation
  • Serve guests with all food and beverage requirements in a warm, friendly, courteous, and professional manner
  • Ensure the bar, lounge, lobby and event areas are kept clean and tidy
  • Be familiar with the computer POS system
  • Carry out cashiering functions by closing checks and servicing the guest
  • Follow all state liquor laws and assigned training is required
  • Follow prescribed procedures in serving liquor with care to avoid problems with intoxicated guests, and when necessary, report to management
  • ServSafe and ABC online training required for the role
  • Stock and clean glassware
  • Check soda tanks to ensure that they are full and secured properly to the bar
  • Prepare all garnishes
  • Prepare juices and syrups for bar service
  • Change kegs and soda bibs
  • Assist in cleaning of tables and all lounge area as needed
  • Ensure overall guest satisfaction
  • Deliver food to guests
  • Knowledge of both food and drink menu to offer guests suggestions and upsell
  • Knowledge of what all hotel food and beverage options are and be able to quality control all items served to guests
  • Follow hotel handbook protocols
  • Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned
