Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • must successfully complete ServSafe Alcohol training certification
  • previous bar experience preferred
  • must read, write legibly, understand and speak English
  • excellent customer service/communication skills
  • ability to count money and change correctly
  • knowledge of cocktail ingredients and proper mixing and pouring techniques
  • availability to work nights, weekends, holidays and overtime
  • must meet professional appearance standards
  • must be physically mobile with reasonable accommodation
  • able to respond to visual and oral cues
  • able to work in constricting areas
  • able to tolerate second-hand smoke, noise, bright lights

Job Duties

  • Complete all required duties upon opening and closing of the bar
  • provide courteous service of frozen daiquiris and beverages including offering samples and suggestive selling
  • stock and maintain the bar area in a clean and orderly fashion
  • clean, sanitize and lubricate daiquiri freezers according to schedule
  • greet guests in a friendly manner creating an upbeat and fun environment
  • take drink orders and serve promptly while checking IDs and following responsible serving guidelines
  • make all drinks accurately according to recipe with proper garnish
  • slice and pit fruit as required
  • prepare and deliver guest food orders as needed
  • monitor guest alcohol consumption and intervene as necessary
  • serve as ambassador of goodwill and promote casino events and programs
  • provide personalized service using guest name
  • resolve service problems according to guidelines
  • operate and maintain all equipment and utensils safely
  • operate cash register/POS system accurately and maintain financial integrity
  • work collaboratively with beverage servers, bartenders, barbacks, and supervisors
  • maintain a clean and stocked workstation and guest areas
  • perform any and all duties as assigned by supervisor or management
