Job Duties
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks according to standard recipes and guest preferences
- mix, garnish, and serve beverages quickly and efficiently
- offer suggestions to customers on drinks based on preferences and current menu offerings
- ensure all beverages are served in appropriate glassware and garnished correctly
- greet and interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner
- take drink orders from customers at the bar or through wait staff and provide attentive service
- engage with customers, make recommendations, and create a welcoming atmosphere
- handle guest complaints or concerns promptly and professionally
- accurately process transactions using the point-of-sale system
- ensure all charges are correctly entered and provide accurate receipts
- maintain a clean and organized cash register and report tips according to company policies
- keep the bar area clean, stocked, and organized
- replenish stock and supplies as needed
- clean bar equipment, glassware, and utensils ensuring sanitation
- empty trash and dispose of waste per health and safety regulations
- ensure all alcohol service complies with legal drinking age laws and company policies
- monitor and manage intoxicated customers refusing service when necessary
- maintain knowledge of alcohol laws and verify identification
- follow health and safety guidelines for customer and staff safety
- monitor inventory levels and assist in notifying management when reordering is needed
- ensure proper storage of alcohol and perishable items
- collaborate with waitstaff, kitchen staff, and management for smooth operations
- communicate clearly with team members
- assist in training new bartenders or barbacks
- assist in setting up and preparing for private events and promotions
