Job Requirements
- must be at least 21 years of age
- ability to stand on feet for extended periods
- ability to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 40 pounds
- ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- mental capacity to learn skills, abilities, training, experience and knowledge
- emotional capacity to relate to others effectively
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or ged
- minimum of 1 year experience operating a full service bar
- strong knowledge of alcohol mixology, drink menus and classic cocktail preparation
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- possess basic math skills
- ability to accurately handle money and operate a pos system
- excellent guest service skills
- excellent verbal communication skills
Job Duties
- follow flo's steps of service for all bar guests
- consistently use suggestive selling techniques
- present food and drink menus and make recommendations
- accurately take food and beverage orders at the bar and lounge area
- deliver food and beverage orders within established time frames
- prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks consistent with standard recipes
- maintain cleanliness and sanitation in all bar areas
- maintain bottles and glasses attractively and functionally
- greet guests in a timely and professional manner
- verify guests purchasing alcohol are at least 21 years of age
- accept guest payment and process transactions
- wash and sanitize glassware and bar utensils
- prep garnishes for drinks
- report equipment and maintenance issues
- set up and maintain appropriate stock levels
- fill in as needed for efficient restaurant operation
- personally recognize and learn names of regular guests
- interact warmly and professionally with guests
- work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
