Job Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Ability to stand on feet for extended periods
- Ability to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 40 pounds
- Follow Flo's steps of service for all bar guests
- Consistently use suggestive selling techniques
- Present food and drink menus with full knowledge of items
- Accurately take and deliver orders in a timely manner
- Prepare and serve drinks according to standard recipes
- Maintain bar cleanliness and sanitation
- Verify age of guests purchasing alcohol
- Accept payments and operate POS system
- Wash and sanitize glassware and utensils
- Prep garnishes
- Report equipment problems and maintenance issues
- Set up and maintain bar stock levels
- Be available to fill in as needed
- Work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, holidays
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 1 year experience operating a full service bar
- Strong knowledge of alcohol mixology, drink menus, and classic cocktail preparation
- Basic math skills and ability to handle money accurately
- Ability to work in a fast pace environment
- Excellent guest service skills
- Excellent verbal communication skills
Job Duties
- Follow Flo's steps of service for all bar guests
- Consistently use suggestive selling techniques
- Present food and drink menus, possess full knowledge of bar and menu items, and make recommendations
- Accurately take food and beverage orders from guests in a timely manner
- Deliver food and beverage orders within established time frames
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks consistent with Flo's standard drink recipes
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in all areas of the bar
- Maintain bottles and glasses in an attractive and functional manner
- Greet guests in a timely and professional manner
- Verify guests are at least 21 years of age before serving alcohol
- Accept guest payments and process transactions
- Wash and sanitize glassware and bar utensils
- Prep garnishes for drinks
- Report equipment and maintenance issues to bar manager
- Set up and maintain appropriate stock levels for the bar
- Assist with restocking and replenishment of inventory
- Be available to fill in as needed to ensure smooth restaurant operations
- Stand for extended periods
- Reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift up to 40 pounds
- Personally recognize and learn names of regular guests
- Provide excellent guest service and communication
- Work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
