Job Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
- at least 1 year of related work experience
- punctual and reliable
- strong knowledge of wine, spirits, and cocktails
- ability to stand, walk, and move during entire shift
- ability to lift, carry, push, pull up to 50 pounds
- no supervisory experience required
- ability to follow safety and security policies
- ability to maintain confidentiality
- ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- willingness to perform additional duties as assigned
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
- strong wine, spirits, and cocktail knowledge
- 2-4 years bartending experience in high-volume or luxury settings
- experience in hotel, resort, or fine dining environments preferred
- ability to maintain professional appearance and confidentiality
- excellent communication skills
- ability to work as a team player
- commitment to upholding safety and security policies
- physical ability to perform duties including lifting and moving supplies
Job Duties
- Prepare drink orders according to specified recipes using measuring systems
- issue, open, and serve wine and champagne bottles
- set up and maintain cleanliness and condition of bar and related areas
- prepare fresh garnishes for drinks
- stock ice, glassware, and paper supplies
- transport supplies to bar set-up area
- wash soiled glassware
- remove soiled wares from bar top and tables
- anticipate and communicate replenishment needs
- process all payment methods
- count bank at end of shift and complete cashier reports
- resolve discrepancies and secure bank
- secure liquors, beers, wines, coolers, cabinets, and storage areas
- complete closing duties
- follow company safety and security policies
- report accidents and unsafe conditions
- maintain professional appearance
- welcome and acknowledge guests
- anticipate and address guests’ service needs
- communicate clearly and professionally
- develop and maintain positive working relationships
- support team goals
- adhere to quality expectations and standards
- perform job duties requiring physical activity including lifting up to 50 pounds
- perform other duties as requested by supervisors
