Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
  • at least 1 year of related work experience
  • punctual and reliable
  • strong knowledge of wine, spirits, and cocktails
  • ability to stand, walk, and move during entire shift
  • ability to lift, carry, push, pull up to 50 pounds
  • no supervisory experience required
  • ability to follow safety and security policies
  • ability to maintain confidentiality
  • ability to communicate clearly and professionally
  • willingness to perform additional duties as assigned

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
  • strong wine, spirits, and cocktail knowledge
  • 2-4 years bartending experience in high-volume or luxury settings
  • experience in hotel, resort, or fine dining environments preferred
  • ability to maintain professional appearance and confidentiality
  • excellent communication skills
  • ability to work as a team player
  • commitment to upholding safety and security policies
  • physical ability to perform duties including lifting and moving supplies

Job Duties

  • Prepare drink orders according to specified recipes using measuring systems
  • issue, open, and serve wine and champagne bottles
  • set up and maintain cleanliness and condition of bar and related areas
  • prepare fresh garnishes for drinks
  • stock ice, glassware, and paper supplies
  • transport supplies to bar set-up area
  • wash soiled glassware
  • remove soiled wares from bar top and tables
  • anticipate and communicate replenishment needs
  • process all payment methods
  • count bank at end of shift and complete cashier reports
  • resolve discrepancies and secure bank
  • secure liquors, beers, wines, coolers, cabinets, and storage areas
  • complete closing duties
  • follow company safety and security policies
  • report accidents and unsafe conditions
  • maintain professional appearance
  • welcome and acknowledge guests
  • anticipate and address guests’ service needs
  • communicate clearly and professionally
  • develop and maintain positive working relationships
  • support team goals
  • adhere to quality expectations and standards
  • perform job duties requiring physical activity including lifting up to 50 pounds
  • perform other duties as requested by supervisors
