Job Requirements

  • Must be able to successfully complete a background investigation with favorable results
  • must be able to satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical
  • must be able to obtain a Food Handler's Certificate and/or complete food handler's training
  • must meet the appropriate minimum age requirement for working with and/or serving alcoholic beverages
  • U.S. Citizens and Non-U.S. Nationals who have resided in the U.S. Territory for three or more consecutive years prior to federal affiliation
  • male applicants born after December 31, 1959 must be registered with Selective Service
  • must be able to provide REAL ID or authorized combination of identity documents for installation access
  • direct deposit is required
  • satisfactory completion of employment verification (E-Verify)
  • probationary period may be required
  • pre-employment requirements must be met prior to entrance on duty

Job Qualifications

  • Open to the public including U.S. Citizens, Nationals, and those who owe allegiance to the U.S.
  • must be able to obtain a Food Handler's Certificate or complete food handler's training
  • must meet minimum age requirement for serving alcoholic beverages
  • successful completion of background investigation
  • ability to satisfactorily complete pre-employment physical
  • experience and competency in bartending including mixing a variety of standard and specialty drinks
  • ability to handle cash register operations
  • knowledge of bar inventory management and accounting
  • strong customer service skills
  • ability to stand and walk for extended periods

Job Duties

  • Operate a full-service bar
  • mix and serve all types of alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks to order following established recipes
  • deliver drinks to bar waiters or serve patrons directly
  • receive payments or charge to member's account as appropriate
  • wash glasses and other bar equipment
  • prepare garnishes for mixed drinks
  • help stock service bar or portable bar for catered functions
  • ensure proper operation of the bar, receipts, and inventory accountability
  • accept money, operate cash register, and make change
  • prepare documentation for cash funds accountability as required
  • walk or stand for prolonged periods
  • lift and carry objects weighing 5-15 pounds frequently and 10-20 pounds pushing/pulling
  • occasionally lift up to 40 pounds with aid for heavier items such as beer kegs
