Job Requirements

  • Must be of legal age to serve alcoholic beverages
  • Obtain TIP certification within 3 months of employment
  • Check guest identification to verify legal drinking age
  • Refuse service politely to underage guests
  • Ability to work variable or part-time schedule including weekends and holidays
  • Maintain neat and clean uniform, well-groomed hair and personal hygiene
  • Use judgment to manage difficult situations related to alcohol service
  • Adhere to company policies and legal regulations related to bartending
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift weight as required

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in a hotel or related field preferred but not required
  • Prior experience in a high volume fast-paced restaurant, bar, or club
  • Extensive knowledge on cocktail building, recipes, and proper techniques of bartending
  • Has never been dismissed from a bartending position from a former employer
  • Must have basic reading, writing, and math skills
  • Passion for providing excellent customer service and creating memorable dining experiences
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
  • Clear and effective communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order delivery and guest interaction
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift trays or other items

Job Duties

  • Set up a bar with supplies such as fruit, garnishes, cocktail napkins, and glassware
  • Ensure the correct display of products to enhance sales and showcase selection
  • Receive and prepare drink orders from guests and servers using standard pours and recipes, ensuring accuracy
  • Ring drink orders into registers, collect money and make correct change
  • Provide immediate attention to all guests upon seating and enhance guest relations
  • Close down bar by securing inventory, cleaning and sanitizing the bar, and putting supplies away
  • Assist servers with serving food and beverages when necessary
