Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • one to three years of high-volume bar experience
  • must be at least 21 years of age to serve alcohol
  • Safe Server Alcohol and Food Handlers certification
  • California RBS certification
  • ability to stand for extended periods
  • ability to lift up to 45 lbs
  • ability to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 250 lbs
  • ability to work in various temperature environments including freezers and kitchens
  • good communication skills
  • basic computer skills
  • ability to adhere to grooming standards
  • regular attendance and punctuality
  • compliance with hotel rules and regulations

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • knowledgeable about Windows OS, MS Office, PMS and POS
  • self-driven and able to work independently
  • knowledge of table and bar service
  • knowledge of spirits, beer, wine and flavor profiles

Job Duties

  • Prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for guests and servers for table delivery
  • take beverage and food orders at the bar
  • describe menu items and suggest products to customers
  • restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
  • provide opening and closing inventory of spirits
  • ensure all liquor, beer and wine products are put away safely and secured
  • assist with recipe batching, ice molding, liquor infusions, washing and preparing garnishes
  • ensure that taps, coolers, and other appliances are clean and in working order
  • verify customers identification to confirm legal drinking age
  • ensure that minors and intoxicated persons are not served alcoholic beverages
  • act as a cashier for servers when necessary
  • maintain the cleanliness of the bar area including disposing of waste and cleaning glassware
  • assist servers, other bartenders, and barbacks when necessary
  • participate in deep cleaning of the outlet
  • operate cash register and receive payments from customers
  • assist all guests professionally and courteously
  • perform all other duties assigned by manager or supervisor
