Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 1-year restaurant/bartending experience
  • knowledge of relevant food safety and sanitation laws and procedures
  • satisfactory completion of a pre-employment drug screening
  • satisfactory completion of a criminal background check
  • satisfactory completion of TSA background check
  • ability to read and interpret business rules and technical procedures
  • effective communication skills with management and team members
  • ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing demands
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • standing for extended periods
  • must hold a New Mexico Alcohol Server Permit
  • must hold a Food Handlers Certificate

Job Duties

  • Check identification of each guest to confirm legal drinking age
  • serve alcohol and non-alcoholic beverages
  • plan and present bar menu
  • take and submit food orders
  • assess guest needs and make recommendations
  • maintain bar and utensil cleanliness
  • stock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
  • prepare drink garnishment
  • arrange bottles and glasses attractively
  • handle cash transactions and balance receipts
  • limit problems related to guests' excessive drinking by intervening appropriately
  • comply with all food and beverage regulations
  • protect establishment by adhering to sanitation and safety policies
  • assist guests with menu selections and explain specialties
  • serve orders and respond to additional guest requests
  • total charges and process payments
  • keep up to date on menu changes
  • perform basic bar cleaning tasks
  • contribute to team efforts
  • acknowledge guests and invite them to return
