Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • prior bartending or serving experience
  • ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • must be at least 21 years old
  • good communication skills
  • ability to stand for extended periods
  • knowledge of alcohol service laws
  • team player attitude

Job Duties

  • knows and applies all federal, state, and local laws governing the service of alcoholic beverages
  • interprets the bar arrangements on the banquet contract and plans the set up
  • gathers all needed supplies and equipment for the bar set-up
  • sets up the banquet bar according to hotel standards and maintains it during service
  • performs necessary side work
  • serves properly mixed drinks to catered guests
  • takes beverage orders from service staff or directly from customers both in the facility and carryout orders
