Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum two years bartending experience in luxury setting
  • ability to handle physical demands of job including lifting 40 lbs
  • proficient in English communication
  • must be eligible to obtain Responsible Beverage Service certification and California Food Handler Card within 30 days
  • must have basic math skills for cash handling
  • capable of standing and walking for extended periods
  • ability to work in confined spaces
  • must be legally authorized to work in the US

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum two years bartending experience in high-end or luxury cocktail bar
  • preferred mixologist experience
  • preferred FORBES training
  • basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation
  • ability to operate cash register and perform mathematical calculations
  • basic English writing skills
  • manual dexterity for bar tasks
  • ability to read, speak, and understand English
  • ability to operate point of sale system
  • capable of lifting 40 lbs
  • ability to work 8 hours standing or walking
  • must obtain Responsible Beverage Service certification and California Food Handler Card within 30 days of hire

Job Duties

  • Maintains proper and adequate bar setup daily
  • requisitions and stocks beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws, stirrers, condiments, and produce
  • maintains stock and manages fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices, and perishables
  • greets guests courteously and promotes drink orders
  • mixes, garnishes, and presents drinks using standard recipes and portion control
  • checks guests for proper identification and acts upon guest inebriation as trained
  • inputs orders into register and creates checks for guests
  • handles cash transactions, verifies charges, records vouchers, balances money, locks and secures beverage and food equipment
  • deposits cash drops and secures bank
