Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- minimum two years bartending experience in luxury setting
- ability to handle physical demands of job including lifting 40 lbs
- proficient in English communication
- must be eligible to obtain Responsible Beverage Service certification and California Food Handler Card within 30 days
- must have basic math skills for cash handling
- capable of standing and walking for extended periods
- ability to work in confined spaces
- must be legally authorized to work in the US
Job Qualifications
- Minimum two years bartending experience in high-end or luxury cocktail bar
- preferred mixologist experience
- preferred FORBES training
- basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation
- ability to operate cash register and perform mathematical calculations
- basic English writing skills
- manual dexterity for bar tasks
- ability to read, speak, and understand English
- ability to operate point of sale system
- capable of lifting 40 lbs
- ability to work 8 hours standing or walking
- must obtain Responsible Beverage Service certification and California Food Handler Card within 30 days of hire
Job Duties
- Maintains proper and adequate bar setup daily
- requisitions and stocks beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws, stirrers, condiments, and produce
- maintains stock and manages fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices, and perishables
- greets guests courteously and promotes drink orders
- mixes, garnishes, and presents drinks using standard recipes and portion control
- checks guests for proper identification and acts upon guest inebriation as trained
- inputs orders into register and creates checks for guests
- handles cash transactions, verifies charges, records vouchers, balances money, locks and secures beverage and food equipment
- deposits cash drops and secures bank
