Job Requirements

  • Minimum one year experience in a similar role
  • Good knowledge of beverage preparation and service
  • Must meet minimum legal age requirements to serve alcohol
  • Ability to maintain high standards of personal hygiene and appearance
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle high-pressure situations calmly
  • Flexible availability including weekends and holidays
  • Must obtain necessary food handling and alcohol service certifications

Job Qualifications

  • One year experience in the foodservice/hospitality industry as a bartender preferred
  • Good knowledge of spirits, beer, and wine
  • Experience at a luxury hospitality property preferred
  • Must be of minimum age to serve alcohol
  • Superior professional appearance and manner
  • Good character to work in a fast-paced team
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to obtain relevant state and local government certifications such as food handlers certificate or alcohol training

Job Duties

  • Assist guests in beverage and drink preparation
  • Service the bar area and restaurant in an efficient and timely manner
  • Engage with guests to understand needs and satisfaction ensuring high-quality service
  • Demonstrate knowledge of drink offerings and assist guests in choosing beverages
  • Comply with Bishop's Lodge and Forbes standards
  • Contribute to improving F&B sales revenues by sharing knowledge about drinks, cocktails, spirits, and menu items
  • Take and place orders accurately and input them into the Micros system
  • Prepare guest checks accurately and collect payment or signatures
  • Operate and maintain bar equipment and fittings
  • Ensure the bar is well-stocked at all times
  • Use safe food handling and maintain a safe working environment
