Job Requirements

  • Standing for extended periods

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in a hospitality, service, consumer-facing franchise or related field preferred
  • knowledge of drink preparation, previous bartender experience preferred
  • positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • ability to follow instructions, assigned tasks, and meet deadlines
  • able to provide friendly service with a smile to guests
  • flexible schedule with availability days, nights, holidays, and weekends
  • punctual and reliable in clocking in and out for shifts and breaks
  • effective verbal and written communication skills in English

Job Duties

  • Greet guests and give a clear and correct description of food and beverage options
  • maintain proper and adequate set-up of the bar area
  • stock beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws and stirrers, condiments, and produce
  • mix, garnish, and present drinks using standard ingredient recipes and practice portion control
  • attend monthly departmental meetings
  • input orders into computer and secure accurate payment
  • receive cash from guests, make any change needed, verify validity of charges, record charges, and ensure vouchers are properly executed
  • lock up and store all beverages, food and other equipment items, deposit cash drops and secure bank at end of shift as needed
  • sanitize and clean in and around the bar area
  • complete daily inventory prep sheet and other side work allowable by labor rules
  • knowledge and familiarity of current food and beverage offerings
  • ensure compliance with food safety and handling policies and procedures
  • assist in maintaining the cleanliness of the restaurant and surrounding areas
  • demonstrate knowledge of hours and available amenities of the hotel
  • work effectively and efficiently with the service and kitchen teams
