Job Requirements

  • Experience in hospitality, service, consumer-facing franchise or related field preferred
  • Knowledge of drink preparation
  • Previous bartender experience preferred
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Ability to follow instructions, assigned tasks, and meet deadlines
  • Always provide friendly service with a smile to guests
  • Flexible schedule with availability for days, nights, holidays, and weekends
  • Must arrive and clock in on time for every shift and clock out at scheduled ending time unless directed otherwise
  • Must clock in/out for breaks at designated times
  • Provide sufficient notice when calling out for scheduled shifts
  • Ability to stand for sustained periods
  • Ability to walk to accomplish tasks
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions of wrists, hands, and fingers
  • Ability to lift items such as laundry supplies and linens
  • Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English effectively

Job Duties

  • Greet guests happily upon arrival and throughout their stay with a smile
  • Use guests' names whenever possible to make them feel welcomed
  • Work together with team members to contribute to great guest satisfaction scores
  • Handle challenging guest situations with hospitality and a sense of urgency
  • Maintain strong knowledge of all hotel features and amenities
  • Support groups and events at the hotel
  • Use relevant technology effectively for the role
  • Answer incoming calls with friendly service using an approved greeting
  • Keep all workspaces sparkling clean and well-organized
  • Pitch in to clean guest rooms and public spaces as needed
  • Greet guests warmly while carrying out cleaning duties
  • Complete operational checklists accurately and on time every shift
  • Write accurate and timely shift handover reports
  • Maintain a flawless appearance with a clean uniform and grooming
  • Communicate clearly, honestly, and professionally with team members
  • Demonstrate a can-do attitude to meet business and guest needs
  • Collaborate with all team members to create a welcoming and positive work environment
  • Greet guests and provide clear descriptions of food and beverage options
  • Maintain and organize the bar area properly
  • Stock beer, wine, spirits, paper products, condiments, and produce
  • Mix, garnish, and present drinks using standard recipes
  • Attend monthly departmental meetings
  • Input orders into the point-of-sale system and secure accurate payment
  • Manage cash handling including receiving, making change, and recording charges
  • Lock up and store beverages and equipment securely
  • Sanitize and clean the bar area regularly
  • Complete daily inventory prep and other side work
  • Promote and document drink orders with menu knowledge
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and handling policies
  • Assist in maintaining cleanliness of the restaurant and surrounding areas
  • Demonstrate knowledge of hotel hours and amenities
  • Work efficiently with service and kitchen teams
