Job Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years bartending experience in hospitality industry such as hotel, restaurant or nightclub
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- San Diego County Food Handlers Card (to be submitted within 30 days of employment)
- Completion of Anti-harassment and Nondiscrimination 1-hour class
- Responsible Alcohol Service (RBS) certification (to be submitted after training)
- Ability to sit, stand or walk for up to 8 hours continuously
- Able to lift at least 50 pounds safely
- Ability to bend, stoop, climb, push and pull
- Flexible hours including days, nights, weekends and holidays

Job Duties
- Welcoming customers, reading and listening to determine beverage preferences, making recommendations and taking drink orders
- Planning drink menus and informing customers about new beverages and specials
- Selecting and mixing ingredients, garnishing glasses, and serving beverages to customers
- Checking identification to ensure customers are the legal age to purchase alcohol
- Taking inventory and ordering supplies to ensure bar and tables are well-stocked
- Adhering to all food safety and quality regulations
- Handling cash, credit, and debit card transactions, ensuring charges are accurate and returning correct change, balancing the cash register
- Maintaining a clean work and dining area by removing trash, cleaning tables, and washing glasses, utensils and equipment
- Developing new cocktail recipes
- Greeting guests and tending to them in a polite friendly manner
- Maintaining knowledge of facility, menu items, prices and product sourcing
- Organizing and maintaining bar menus
- Communicating efficiently with management, service staff and guests
- Operating POS systems such as Toast
- Completing opening, running and closing side-work duties
