Job Duties
- Greet, register, and assign rooms to guests
- Answer telephone
- Post charges, compute bill, collect payment, and make change for guests
- Make and confirm reservations
- Monitor room availability
- Block rooms
- Program wake-up calls
- Handle guest mail and messages
- Perform check-out services
- Open and close shifts making cash drops as necessary
- Prepare cocktails in accordance with standard beverage recipes
- Wash glassware as needed
- Prepare and serve bar food items
- Assist in the set-up and closing of the bar using provided checklists
- Complete daily inventory prep sheet
- Properly record all sales transactions and secure accurate payment
- Familiarize and be knowledgeable of current food and beverage offerings, including wine lists and cocktail menu
- Provide information pertaining to hours and available services of the hotel and surrounding areas
- Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of the lobby, front entrance, railyard and surrounding areas
- Assist in checking all lobby fixtures, equipment and conditions for proper operation, settings and maintenance
