Job Requirements

  • Must meet minimum age requirement
  • ability to walk or stand for prolonged periods
  • ability to lift and carry objects up to 45 lbs independently and over 45 lbs with assistance
  • knowledge and experience mixing and serving limited varieties of alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages
  • ability to provide excellent customer service
  • understanding of safety regulations and workplace reporting
  • ability to recognize and handle intoxicated patrons
  • willingness to adhere to EEO principles
  • ability to work inside environments with adequate light, heat and fresh air
  • must complete a National Agency Check and Inquiries (NACI)
  • direct deposit of net pay is mandatory
  • registration with Selective Service if applicable

Job Qualifications

  • Knowledge and skill to mix and serve beverages from a bar limited to a few varieties and brands of liquor, soda, beer, and wine
  • knowledge of correct proportions and mixtures in preparing beverages
  • ability to recognize intoxicated or unruly patrons and resolve problems
  • ability to collect tabs or chits and reconcile them with items dispensed
  • ability to follow instructions from manager for bar operation
  • physical ability to stand or walk for long periods
  • ability to lift and carry objects up to 45 lbs independently

Job Duties

  • Operate a limited-service bar such as portable bars for private parties and banquets
  • mix and serve alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks
  • receive and record payment at time of sale
  • maintain inventory of stock
  • ensure bar and dining room are clean and presentable
  • provide world class customer service with an emphasis on courtesy
  • assist customers and communicate positively
  • take action to solve problems quickly
  • adhere to safety regulations and report workplace hazards
  • perform other related duties as required
