Job Requirements
- Hold a current food handler card
- knowledge of liquor laws and safe beverage service
- basic math skills
- good manual dexterity
- ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- ability to lift up to 30 pounds
- ability to comprehend and apply written instructions
- must maintain clean and professional appearance
Job Qualifications
- Knowledge of state, federal and corporate liquor regulations
- current food handler card
- basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation
- basic mathematical skills to operate cash register and make change
- basic English writing skills for requisitions and vouchers
- manual dexterity to handle garnishes and glassware
- ability to understand customer inquiries and communicate instructions
- ability to remember and promote menu items
- ability to operate beverage equipment such as coffee makers
Job Duties
- Greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner
- promote and document orders for drinks
- mix, garnish and present drinks using standard recipes and portion control
- maintain proper and adequate bar setup daily including requisitioning and stocking
- cut and store fresh fruit, juices and garnishes to ensure product quality
- handle cash transactions, verify charges and balance money
- lock up and secure all beverages, food, cash and equipment at closing
- answer bar phone promptly and take room service orders courteously
- input orders into register and create checks for guests
- perform cleaning tasks to maintain health standards
- adhere to company policies and safety procedures
- report unsafe conditions, accidents or injuries to supervisor
- maintain neat, clean and well-groomed appearance
- assist other beverage personnel as needed
- perform related duties as requested by supervisor or manager
