Job Requirements

- Ability to stand and walk for entire shifts

Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous bartending or customer service experience preferred
- Strong multitasking and communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of alcohol service laws and responsible beverage practices
- Basic math skills for handling transactions
- Ability to lift and carry moderately heavy items
- Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
- Willingness to complete alcohol awareness training
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling
Job Duties
- Prepare and serve beverages to guests according to recipes
- Stock/restock appropriate areas of the bar with alcohol, glassware, ice and supplies
- Work a variety of hours, days and shifts, including weekends
- Effectively service a full bar top, cocktail station, and dining room orders
- Safely transport food or beverages to a table of three in a single trip
- Safely tolerate exposure to liquids frequently, including water, cleaning solutions, alcohol and juices
- Use and operate all necessary tools and equipment, including knives and blenders
- Communicate effectively to perform and follow job requirements
- Multitask calmly and effectively in a busy, stressful environment
- Work in a confined, crowded space of variable noise and temperature levels
- Move and lift up to 10 pounds frequently up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds
- Stand and walk entire shift and move safely through restaurant areas including stairs and slick surfaces
- Ensure the guest experience exceeds expectations and anticipate needs
- Greet guests with a warm, sincere smile
- Use tact and good judgement with guest challenges responding with patience and courtesy
- Safely and properly change beer kegs, CO2 tanks and soda dispensers
- Manually wash and sanitize glassware
- Account for and maintain security of bar stock and inventory
- Secure and reconcile bar cash drawer
- Recognize intoxicated guests and refuse service as appropriate
- Record and process orders and payments accurately
- Understand and respond to questions about restaurant and menu
- Use sales techniques and promote current offers
- Follow all steps of service
- Understand and follow food allergy procedures
- Operate POS system and payment terminals proficiently
- Comply with safety and sanitation guidelines
- Complete alcohol awareness training
- Follow all company policies
- Be a team player
- Perform other duties as assigned
