Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum one year experience in a full service restaurant
  • Ability to obtain necessary licenses or certifications including local health department and state liquor control board certificates
  • Maintain professional grooming standards
  • Flexible availability to work varying schedules
  • Ability to comply with safety and sanitation regulations
  • Strong multitasking skills
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • Any combination of education and experience equivalent that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
  • High school education preferred
  • Minimum one year full service restaurant experience
  • Ability to obtain any government required licenses or certificates such as local health department certification and state liquor control board certificate
  • CPR certification and/or first aid training preferred
  • Maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance according to company standards
  • Effective communication skills
  • Knowledge of menu items and beverage preparation

Job Duties

  • Demonstrate the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
  • Maintain outgoing, friendly and courteous demeanor
  • Pay attention to detail and stay organized
  • Monitor liquor, beer, and wine usage to maintain proper inventory levels
  • Communicate effectively in various situations
  • Adhere to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies
  • Prepare alcoholic and specialty beverages with correct ingredients, portions, and procedures
  • Assist guests in selecting food and beverages by presenting menu, offering cocktails, suggesting courses, explaining chef’s specialties, identifying appropriate wines, and answering food preparation questions
  • Address guests' special dietary needs and requests
  • Serve orders by delivering guests' choices from bar and kitchen
  • Maintain table setting including removing courses, replenishing utensils, and refilling beverages
  • Conclude dining experience by thanking guests and inviting them to return
  • Deliver bill accurately and process payment
  • Interact with staff and guests positively to achieve 100 percent guest satisfaction
  • Know the menu to assist with guest inquiries and requests
  • Assist in other essential FOH duties such as answering phones, taking to go orders and payments, managing reservations, assisting hosts and expos, and supporting bussers with table resetting
  • Complete tasks according to the needs of the restaurant each shift
