Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • completion of basic food handling training and obtaining any local or state mandated certification, health card, or food handlers permit where required
  • completion of safe alcohol service training program
  • availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • regular and consistent attendance
  • energetic and friendly attitude during each shift
  • ability to provide excellent guest service
  • accurate cash handling and basic math skills
  • interpersonal skills including ability to communicate with all ages, genders, and personalities
  • must be able to effectively and regularly converse in and comprehend English
  • ability to work in a team environment and independently
  • ability to take and follow direction
  • frequent bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs
  • frequent standing, walking and reaching

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in a high-volume bar environment preferred
  • ability to provide excellent guest service

Job Duties

  • Greet guests with a smile in a timely and professional manner
  • possess full knowledge of bar and menu items and make recommendations
  • accurately record food and beverage orders from guests
  • verify identification to confirm guests are at least 21 years of age for all alcohol transactions
  • ensure alcohol is consumed in designated areas only
  • consistently use suggestive selling techniques
  • collaborate with kitchen team to ensure food orders are accurate
  • deliver food and beverage orders within established time frames
  • process payment for completed guest orders
  • maintain appropriate stock levels for the bar
  • assist the general manager on duty with placing orders for all liquor and bar related supplies
  • consistently wipe down and sanitize employee and guest high-contact areas
  • properly utilize personal protective equipment while completing position specific tasks
  • adapt to the frequency and scope of required cleaning tasks
  • monitor safety and security issues and report issues to management
  • perform other work-related duties as assigned
