Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be of legal age to serve alcohol
- Ability to stand and walk for entire shifts
- Ability to safely lift and move up to 50 pounds
- Available to work various shifts including weekends
- Ability to communicate well in English
- Must comply with company policies and procedures
Job Qualifications
- Prior bartending experience preferred
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of drink recipes and bar operations
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends
- Basic math skills for handling payments and cash reconciliation
- Familiarity with safety and sanitation standards
- Proficiency with POS and bar equipment
- Alcohol awareness certification or willingness to complete training
Job Duties
- Prepare and serve beverages to guests according to recipes
- Stock and restock appropriate areas of the bar with alcohol, glassware, ice and supplies
- Work a variety of hours, days and shifts, including weekends
- Effectively service a full bar top, cocktail station and dining room orders
- Safely and effectively transport food or beverages to a table of three in a single trip
- Use and operate all necessary tools and equipment, including knives and blenders
- Communicate effectively to perform and follow job requirements
- Multitask calmly and effectively in a busy, stressful environment
- Work in confined, crowded spaces with variable noise and temperature
- Move and lift objects up to 50 pounds as required
- Stand and walk for entire shifts and navigate all restaurant areas safely
- Ensure overall guest experience exceeds expectations and anticipate guests' needs
- Greet guests warmly
- Use tact and good judgement when dealing with guests
- Change beer kegs, CO2 tanks and soda dispensers safely
- Wash and sanitize glassware manually
- Maintain security of bar stock and inventory
- Reconcile bar cash drawer securely
- Recognize and refuse to overserve intoxicated guests
- Process payments and balance sales/receipts
- Respond knowledgeably to restaurant and menu questions
- Use sales techniques and promote current promotions
- Follow all service steps and food allergy procedures
- Use POS system and other equipment proficiently
- Comply with safety and sanitation guidelines
- Complete alcohol awareness training
- Follow company policies and conditions of employment
- Collaborate well with team members
- Perform other assigned duties as needed
